That big ol Bunny

Sunday we headed to the mall to have Baron sit with the Easter bunny. He did pretty good once it was our turn to sit in it’s lap. He didn’t give us a really good shot because he was too focused on looking up at the bunny. I think that’s the biggest bunny I have seen, abnormally big and I don’t know why. You wonder why so many little ones are afraid. After we sat Baron on it’s lap we kept calling out Baron’s lil tricks in order to get him to look at the camera. Finally, after asking him if he’s strong we were able to get a shot where he was looking straight at the camera. I’ll take it, at least he didn’t bawl.

Circus Time

The Circus was in town this past weekend and we thought it would be a great idea to take Baron. They had a 6pm show on Sunday night that fit our schedule perfectly. Brian and Avery also tagged along for the fun. Both of us were worried how the kids would respond and wondered if we all would be walking out 10 minutes after the start but that wasn’t the case at all!

They both loved it! Baron just stood in amazement watching everything go on while playing with his new light up toy. Avery was the same…I really wish at times I knew what they were thinking. Baron was such a good little boy. He stood and sat throughout the majority of the show and several times screamed at the top of his lungs and threw back a few dance moves. Such a good time!

Silhouettes

I have been wanting to take some of these shots for such a long time and with the nice weather I was finally able to. Thanks to Rob and Baron for being such great subjects. I guess I would have to say thanks especially to Rob for kicking up his heels and landing those action shots like a pro. Hee hee.

As we were getting ready for bed I kept smelling this strong odor (no not that;) and I finally was able to figure it out. Icy Hot! I think Rob bathed in that because it was sooo strong I could barely stand it. His pj’s clung to him like he had just jumped in water. I think all that jumping probably wasn’t the best of ideas and he’s still paying for it today. Oops…

A little Spring in our step…

It’s so nice to be able to head outside with Baron and get out of the basement that seems like we have been down there FOREVER. Now I get it, wishing Spring would get here quicker so the kids can get outside. Totally understand… All Baron keeps saying is “outside, outside, outside” and “ride, ride, ride”. By the time we come back in, his face is red as a tomato and his hair is matted to his forehead. He drinks about a gallon of water and then it starts again, “outside, outside, outside” “ride, ride, ride”. We’re in for a fun summer!

Gator Ridin'

Baron is finally big enough to go for Gator rides. Severely strapped in of course. Rob has been itching for the weather to warm up to be able to take Baron for rides around the property. It was so sweet when Baron kept saying, "ride, ride, ride" after they were finished. I'm sure that it's going to be pretty annoying as the summer progresses but for now it's so much fun.

School Days

Baron had his first day of school this past week. Of course it's not technically school but we like to call it that. Makes us feel a little better;)
Rob did all the research and found an Early Childhood Program that Baron could attend either half day or full days. We wanted to start slow just to see how Baron would acclimate and chose just one day a week for a half day. I knew this day would be coming since he is nearing his 2nd birthday and now starting to not need a morning nap. He was ready but I was having a hard time letting him go.
We arrived at 8.30am to drop him off and it seemed like everyone knew this was our first time. The head person in charge assured us that Baron would be fine as we walked back to his class. Once we entered, he wiggled his little hand out from mine and basically never looked back. Thank goodness it was easy because I don't think that either of us could have taken it any other way. We arrived early to pick them up and were allowed to watch their goodbye song and prayer. So cute! This is a good thing for both Baron and us. Let's just hope he doesn't get hurt because if he does, I'm pulling that kid out instantly! Just kidding...
